I promised some news on the project so here it is (the first chapter is being released on August 1st):
ACoN follows Kaia, a junior in high school with artistic abilities that get her a full ride to a private school where she runs into the last person she expects: Michael. For years she assumed he was just an imagination, but now confronting him she must also confront the truth: her ability to walk through other people's dreams and change things while she's there. But can she tell him about the tragedy that made her stop believing in the first place? And if she does start dream-walking again, can she really help him stop the amount of nightmares happening and coming into the real world?
That's the description for now, as rough draft as the rest of it will be. Until then, I'd like to give you the cover I whipped up a few days ago and hope you enjoy that, as well.
In which I, SM Frost, aspire to be an author and post chapters of serialized novels that I hope you enjoy.

Where I've Been and Where I'm Going
My writing has taken a momentary backseat thanks to binge-watching. I recently finished Teen Wolf and I fell in love with every second of it. But since that sucked up several good days I could have spent writing I have a little to catch up on.
But now I think it's time to break the news: I'll be putting a serialized novel onto this blog. That means every week or so you'll be given a new chapter to read for the first book in a series I'm working on. I'll release more detail on what it's about soon, but here's what I can tell you now.
It's called A Conspiracy of Nightmares and it's in a very, very, very rough draft. Which is part of the fun. For now I'll be posting completely unchecked, uncorrected, unedited chapters. As time progresses, not only will I post new chapters, but I'll be posting the edited versions of the old ones as well so you can get a feel for how a book goes through that process. I don't have any plans to actually get this book traditionally published or even self-published because I want it to be on the internet and free for people to enjoy if they want to. Hopefully people will fall in love with it.
Here's the schedule for the first ten chapters:
1- August 1st
2- August 8th
3- August 15th
4- August 22nd
5- August 29th
6- September 5th
7- September 12th
8- September 19th
9- September 26th
10- October 3rd
I'll release a description in about a week, so stay tuned!

Inspiration, Again
So this song has been haunting me for a few days. I caved and bought it. Now I'm playing it on repeat while editing/typing up the second draft of Woven. The words and emotions in this song make me shiver. Check it out:

Happy 4th
Happy 4th of July to my fellow Americans. And a happy birthday to Steve Rogers as well. What is this, your 96th? You're getting old, my friend.

Inspiration
While I'm busy crafting chapter two of A Conspiracy of Nightmares I've been listening to, on repeat (and that's, I'm sure, bothering my brother), "I'm Alive" from the musical Next to Normal. It's performed by one of my favorite people in the whole world- Aaron Tveit- and I think it sums up Kaya's feelings at the moment. Plus, it's really, really catchy.
